Leigh A. Barry

Leigh A. Barry, Business & Community Support Coordinator for Public Radio 90, helps raise money for the station through businesses and organizations. She loves to work with local and regional business to develop partnerships that benefit both the station and the business. She would LOVE to hear from any group or individual interested in supporting the station. Leigh has been a fan of Public Radio for as long as she can remember, and is eager to share the benefits of aligning with such a powerful medium.

Leigh is a 1990 graduate of Northern Michigan University. She was a student employee of Public Radio 90 in the late '80s, and had the good fortune to work with Gregg Beukema at that time. Leigh has lived around the east and Midwest for the last 20 years, working as an editor and agent for a large classic auto and boat insurer, as retail coordinator for Goodwill of Northwestern Iowa, as assistant to the director of admissions for a private school, and as an assistant to a diamond dealer. Leigh values diverse experience. Leigh is a native of the eastern Upper Peninsula, and is happy to be back in Marquette. It took her the first 20 years to leave the U.P. and another 20 years to get back in, and Leigh vows she is here to stay. Leigh enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and has even learned to love camping.
