Upper Peninsula, MI – Several Upper Peninsula airports will receive federal funding totaling nearly $4 million. The funding will be used to improve safety and security, infrastructure and snow removal. Houghton County Memorial Airport will receive $1.9 million, Sawyer International is slated for about $318,000 and Chippewa County International will get $1.7 million.
