Campground construction grant awarded to Rapid River

RAPID RIVER, MI--   Money from the Department of Natural Resources will be used to build a new ATV campground in Delta County’s Rapid River Falls.

The $85,000 grant comes from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund. The Rapid River recreation development project is one of 34 projects statewide recommended by the DNR to receive funding.

Recommendations for grant recipients must be approved by the state legislature and governor before the money can be distributed.

Communities selected for MNRTF grants must provide matching funds.
