Car flips in Negaunee Township weekend accident

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI--   Four people were taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle rollover accident in Negaunee Township over the weekend.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post were patrolling near County Road 480 and M-35 Saturday around 1:20 a.m. when they observed a vehicle traveling westbound on CR 480 at a high rate of speed.  As troopers turned around to conduct a traffic stop the suspect vehicle left the roadway and flipped several times.

Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle, while the driver and another passenger remained trapped inside.  Three males and a female were taken to Marquette General Hospital with non-critical injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
