Delta County EDA picks new director

ESCANABA, MI--   There’s a new chief at the Delta County Economic Development Alliance.

Following an extensive search, the Board of Directors selected TJ Thomas as the next executive director. He replaces Vicki Schwab, who has moved on to work with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation after a seven-year stint with the EDA.

Thomas is a native of Gladstone and a graduate of both Bay de Noc Community College and Michigan Tech. He previously served as executive assistant to the EDA director, then worked in sales in the steel sector in Seattle and Washington, DC.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
