Escanaba meth suspects charged

ESCANABA, MI--   A couple of Escanaba teens have been arraigned on meth-related charges, following a bust by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team Monday.

Detectives conducted surveillance on Thaddeus Dewyse and Gavin Warner, both 18, and allegedly saw them purchase components used to make meth at various locations.  UPSET executed a search warrant at the suspects’ residence and reportedly uncovered an active meth lab and more components.

Dewyse is charged with purchasing pseudoephedrine to make meth and conspiracy to deliver and manufacture meth and ecstasy.

Warner is charged with operating and maintaining a meth lab, conspiracy to deliver and manufacture meth, and possession of meth.

A probable cause hearing is set for August 18.
