Gwinn schools want input on new superintendent

GWINN, MI--   The Gwinn Area Community Schools Board of Education is beginning its search for a new, permanent superintendent.

Interim Superintendent Stephen Piereson’s term ends next June and the Board wants to know what residents want in a new chief.  Officials are gathering input into the desired personal qualities, characteristics, and experiences of the successful candidate.  The Board will use that information to create a candidate profile, which will guide the selection process.

A community survey is available online at www.gwinn.k12.mi.us.  Residents are asked to complete the survey by November 13.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
