Invent@NMU to help Calumet entrepreneurs

CALUMET, MI--   The Village of Calumet is partnering with Invent@NMU to expand business startup resources in the area.

The Calumet Downtown Development Authority, 330 Fifth, LLC, and REL, Inc. will work with the Marquette-based business incubator through a kiosk. It will be located at Keweenaw Coffee Works.

Officials say the kiosk will give inventors and entrepreneurs the chance to learn about services offered, submit an idea for a product, business or invention, and receive a free review and response from the Invent@NMU team within three business days.

Invent@NMU officials will hold a presentation about the project Tuesday, November 13 from noon to 2 p.m. at Keweenaw Coffee Works.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
