Iron County man jailed for domestic assault

CASPIAN, MI--   A Caspian man has been arrested for felonious assault in connection with a domestic violence incident. 

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched Tuesday around 6:50 p.m. to a residence in the city. Deputies made contact with the victim and found the suspect had fled the scene. While deputies and state police troopers searched the area the suspect returned to the residence with a knife. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect is lodged in the Iron County Jail on two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or strangulation, felonious assault, and domestic assault.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
