Lake Linden drug suspects arraigned

HOUGHTON, MI--   Two men arrested in Lake Linden during a drug bust have been charged with several felonies.

Damon Belcher, 43, of Detroit and Corrie Ruth, 35, of Flint were taken into custody last Wednesday after a search warrant uncovered more than $10,000 in heroin and cocaine and around $2,000 in cash. 

Both are charged with two counts of the delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin, or other narcotic, less than 50 grams and two counts of possession with intent to deliver. 

They remain lodged in the Houghton County Jail on $500,000 bonds.  A probable cause hearing is set for Wednesday and a preliminary hearing is set for December 9.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
