Man accused of exposing himself at Peter White Library

MARQUETTE, MI--   Marquette Police have arrested a man for exposing himself to a patron at Peter White Public Library.  

Officers say Mark Axton Hammond, 59, of Marquette allegedly exposed himself to a 24-year-old woman at the library on September 18.  The victim identified Hammond from his picture, which was posted on the Michigan sex offender registry. 

Hammond is charged with aggravated indecent exposure and indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person.  He remains lodged at the Marquette County Jail on a $2,000 bond. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
