Man fleeing on M-95 arrested for domestic violence

HUMBOLDT TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Humboldt Township man has been taken into custody, following a domestic violence incident.

State Police from the Negaunee Post were dispatched around 3:50 Tuesday morning to a residence, but the male suspect fled the scene on an ORV. Troopers located him north of Republic driving a Yamaha side-by-side on M-95. They arrested the 45-year-old man for operating while intoxicated and resisting and obstructing.

The suspect remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail.

The incident remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
