Marquette Symphony Orchestra Summer Strings Concert

Marquette Symphony Orchestra / Marquette 365

Janis Peterson is the concertmaster and a performer in the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, and she stopped by our studios to talk about the MSO's Summer Strings Concert.  The Summer Strings are a small ensemble of string players from the MSO that perform in public spaces and spotlight the strings section of the orchestra.

The concert takes place at the Marquette Commons on June 27, 2018 at 7:00pm ET, with special guest Derrell Syria.  Summer Strings performances are free to the public, but donations are appreciated.  The indoor space at the Commons will be used in the event of inclement weather.

Selections will include: Barber of Seville by Rossini, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart, Summertime by Gershwin, and more.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
