Meth suspects arrested in Escanaba

ESCANABA, MI--   Two Escanaba residents have been arrested on charges related to possession of meth and manufacturing meth within 500 feet of a school zone.

UPSET detectives conducted surveillance on the two suspects and reportedly saw them purchase meth components at various Escanaba locations.  Escanaba Public Safety conducted a traffic stop on their vehicle and found components used to make meth inside.

A search warrant located at the suspects’ residence on Ludington Street uncovered an active meth lab and additional meth ingredients.

Both 18-year-old subjects were lodged at the Delta County Jail.  Their names are being withheld, pending arraignment.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
