NMU Board of Trustees sets next year's housing, dining rates

MARQUETTE, MI--   Housing and dining rates are going up slightly at Northern Michigan University next school year.

The NMU Board of Trustees on Friday approved the rates for 2018-2019. The cost of a standard, double-occupancy room in the traditional residence halls and the Gold Constant Meal Pass will be $5,203 per semester. That’s an increase of $164. A double-occupancy room in The Woods complex with the same meal pass will be $5,595—$163 higher than this year.

Four of the buildings in the new Woods complex are occupied. The last two are set to open in the fall 2018 semester.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
