Prelim set for accused stabber
MARQUETTE, MI-- A preliminary hearing has been set for a Marquette man accused of stabbing another man in a city bar.
James Christensen, 31, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a controlled substance, second offense in connection with the Friday incident at the Long Shot Saloon.
Police were called to the Baraga Street bar around 10:30 p.m. and found the victim—Bradley Hase, 42, of Marquette—had been stabbed several times. Hase was treated at Marquette General Hospital and later released.
Christensen fled the bar but was soon captured and arrested. He remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a $5,500 bond.
A preliminary exam is set for September 10.
