ESCANABA, MI-- The Delta County Airport has a new manager.
Jeffery Sierpien is a retired major from the U.S. Marine Corps who lives in Escanaba. His assignments include maintenance material control officer at Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina; manpower specialist with Marine Corps Manpower and Reserve Affairs in Quantico, Virginia; and Commander of the Detroit Military Entrance Procession Station.
Sierpien was deployed seven times in his career, including deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Japan.
Sierpien was introduced to the Delta County Board of Commissioners Tuesday.
