Students to exhibit their scholarly endeavors at NMU

MARQUETTE, MI--   Northern Michigan University will recognize the achievements of its students at the 23rd annual Celebration of Student Scholarship Thursday.

Undergraduate and graduate students will exhibit posters and hold brief lectures explaining their work in Jamrich Hall. Officials say the daylong event will teach students skillsets like data analysis, interviewing, and professional conduct.

This year’s celebration features the inaugural competition for the Library Research Award and the Three Minute Thesis. During 3MT students will squeeze an 80,000-word dissertation into a three-minute presentation. Winners of NMU’s first-ever competition will be recognized.

Events begin at 9 a.m. at Jamrich Hall. For more information go to nmu.edu/studentcelebration.
