Three charged in Marquette Ramada Inn theft

MARQUETTE, MI--   Three Marquette residents have been arrested for breaking into the Ramada Inn.

On September 7 City Police were notified someone had gotten into the hotel through a first-floor exterior window. Two iPads, a hand gun, and other items were taken from the room.

The following day police received information the items were possibly in a residence on the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers executed a search warrant and found the iPads and some of the other items. Further investigation revealed the stolen hand gun was in a house on the 200 block of Sugarloaf Avenue. It was recovered September 9.

Three people were arrested and charged as follows:

Bernard Duquette, 49, is charged with 2nd-degree home invasion, two counts of receiving and concealing a stolen firearm, possession of a stolen firearm by a felon, larceny of a firearm, and four counts of felony firearms.

Gail Duquette, 47, is charged with receiving and concealing stolen property over $200 but less than $1,000.

Jordan Beaudry, 24, is charged with receiving and concealing a stolen firearm.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information on the case or the whereabouts of the remaining stolen property is asked to call Marquette Police at 228-0400.
