IRON MOUNTAIN, MI - Three people are injured following a multiple-vehicle crash in Dickenson County. Troopers from the Iron Mountain post responded to the scene at US-141 and Breiting Avenure at about 6:40 Saturday evening. An eastbound vehicle, driven by 73-year old Kathryn Abraham-Coffman of Iron Mountain, attempted to cross the highway when it struck a northbound vehicle, driven by 64-year old Margaret Harvath of Niagra, WI. The collision caused Harvath’s vehicle to collide with a third vehicle stopped at the stop sign on Lincoln Avenue, driven by 34-year old Matthew LaLonde.

Abraham-Coffman and Harvath were taken to Dickenson Memorial Hospital where Harvath was released. Abraham-Coffman was taken to another facility for evaluation and treatment.

Abraham-Coffman was cited for ‘failure to yield.’

Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident.

Kingsford Public Safety, Breiting Township Fire Department, and Integrity Ambulance assisted at the scene.
