Two-vehicle accident on CR 550

MARQUETTE COUNTY, MI--   Four people sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Marquette County over the weekend.

State Police from the Negaunee Post say it happened Saturday around 3:15 p.m. on County Road 550 near Beagle Club Road. Troopers say Kayla Matusinec, 21, attempted a U-turn in the road. Another vehicle, driven by Clyde Vadnais, 68, came around a curve right behind the first vehicle. Vadnais tried to avoid Matusinec, but hit her as she tried to complete the U-turn.

Both drivers and two passengers from Matusinec’s vehicle were injured. They were taken to UPHS-Marquette for treatment.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
