UPPCO continues work to restore power after storms

Aj Fischer

HOUGHTON COUNTY, MI -- Upper Peninsula Power Company crews are continuing efforts to restore service to customers effected by Sunday’s storms. UPPCO is encouraging people to report all downed electric power lines or unsafe conditions that may have resulted from the intense storms that hit early Sunday morning. Brett French, Vice-President of Business Development and Communications, says people should never approach or make contact with any utility equipment. Customers who are still experiencing an outage or are aware of any downed power lines or unsafe conditions are being asked to call our Customer Contact Center in Ishpeming at (800) 562-7809 or (906) 449-2011.

French adds that UPPCO would like to “recognize everyone that came together to assist our crews and the community in responding to the storm.”
