MACKINAC COUNTY, MI-- A Mackinac County man has been apprehended in connection with drug charges.
Officials with the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team say investigation led them to a residence on Fish Road, where they found an illegal marijuana operation. Detectives seized 19 marijuana plants, over three ounces of processed pot, and three handguns.
The 66-year-old suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant related to a conservation violation and lodged at the Chippewa County Jail. Additional charges for manufacturing marijuana and possession of firearms are expected, pending review by the Prosecutor’s Office.
