Vehicle rolls over on County Road 550

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   A downstate woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries when her vehicle rolled over on County Road 550 this week.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says it happened Tuesday around 7:35 a.m. near Eagles Nest Road. Kaylee Brace, 19, of Saint Helen was southbound when she reached for an item in the passenger side of the vehicle. She accidentally turned the steering wheel to the right, which made the vehicle enter the ditch and roll over.

Brace was taken to UPHS-Marquette for treatment.

Speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash, but Brace was found to be at fault.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
