Vulcan man killed when car falls on him

VULCAN, MI--   Dickinson County officials say a man is dead, after a car fell on him as he worked under it.

Undersheriff Scott Rutter says the accident happened Wednesday in Vulcan.  He says the 52-year-old man was working under the car when a scissor jack collapsed and came out from underneath the vehicle.  

Fire and ambulance personnel removed the man and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The undersheriff says authorities are awaiting notification of relatives before releasing the man's name.
