Wisconsin resident arrested after high-speed chase into Michigan

MENOMINEE, MI--   A high-speed chase that started in Menominee County ended in an arrest in Delta County Monday. 

Around 12:50 a.m. Delta County deputies responded to assist Menominee County deputies involved in a pursuit. It started in Mellen Township, south of Stephenson, and continued on US-2 toward Delta County.

Deputies deployed “stop sticks” in the area of US-2 and County Road 557. After a tire on the suspect vehicle deflated the vehicle pulled over and its occupants were taken into custody.

Police say the driver had a revoked Wisconsin license and was in possession of marijuana. The driver was lodged in the Menominee County Jail.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
