An important contribution to quality radio is made by foundations, corporations and individuals who provide funds to underwrite the presentation of a program or program series broadcast on Public Radio 90.
Why become an underwriter?

Underwriting on Public Radio 90 places you and your product or service in a unique position by clearly separating your name from the clutter inherent in commercial advertising. Just as you, the underwriter, supports Public Radio 90, Public Radio 90′s loyal listeners will support you. 88% of NPR listeners say their opinion of a company is more positive when they discover the company supports public radio.

Public Radio 90 offers you the chance to contribute to one or more of our various funds, allowing you the freedom to select the programing that will most economically reach your segment of the market with the greatest potential. When asked to name companies that support NPR, 51% of listeners recall at least one.

Public Radio 90 covers the Upper Peninsula with classical music, jazz and news/information 24 hours a day. We broadcast with a power of 100,000 watts from our main transmitter near Republic. We are currently broadcasting from our new high definition digital transmitter! Additionally, we have signal enhancing translators covering the cities of Marinette/Menominee, Stephenson, Escanaba, and Manistique.
Announcements for underwriters are aired 10 times each day on the days you select. A maximum of three underwriters are announced at one time, and competing businesses will not be aired together. All underwriting on Public Radio 90 qualifies for a 50% direct tax credit from the state of Michigan, as well as a deduction on federal taxes.

Program Underwriting Packages
By underwriting a program, your business announcement is aired twice each program. A maximum of two underwriters are announced at one time, and competing businesses will not be aired together. By underwriting a specific program, you can aim for a specific target audience and provide a great service to the community.
