MARQUETTE, MI (AP)-- Parts of northern Michigan could see as much as two feet of snow in another round of lake-effect snowfalls.
MLive.com reports the snow is expected to increase in intensity Sunday and could continue through Tuesday. A stretch of lakefront east of Marquette is forecast to get 18-24 inches of snow, and the Keweenaw Peninsula and Traverse City area could see at least a foot.
Forecasters say the snow is all lake-effect, and should rapidly taper off outside those affected areas without strong winds to spread it. Central and southeastern Michigan are expected to see anywhere from a dusting to a few inches of snow during the period.
