UPDATE: Officials, volunteers search for missing Mackinac County girl

UPDATE: Madison was found safe and sound Tuesday. Shortly after she was discovered she was eating cookies with her rescuers.

No other information about her rescue has been released.

GARFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI--   A 4-year-old Mackinac County girl with autism is missing.

Deputies say Madison Yale was last seen Monday evening playing in her front yard in the area of Krause Road and Werner in Garfield Township. Officials believe she wandered into the woods and got lost.

A search for Madison was conducted through the night and additional volunteer search parties will continue to look Tuesday morning.

No other information is available at this time.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
