UNDATED – The Michigan Public Service Commission reminds homeowners that the Home Heating Credit application deadline is approaching. The credit assists low income homeowners with winter energy bills. Eligible customers must have their homestead in Michigan, they must own or rent the home in which they reside, and income must fall within certain limits. The Home Heating Credit is funded by the Federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program grant. Homeowners must apply by September 30th for the credit. Forms may be obtained by calling 1-800-827-4000 or online at www.michigango.gov/heatingassistance.
