Interview: Nancy Railey & Tristan Luoma - BachFest

Marquette Arts & Culture Center

The first BachFest Marquette festival is a season-long festival which celebrates the life and legacy of J.S. Bach.  The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center, with local musician Nancy Railey, created this festival with ten unique musical events with the goals of highlighting musical and artistic talent in the community, while also inspiring and engaging listeners of all ages with classical music.  Kurt Hauswirth welcomed Nancy along with Tristan Luoma from the MACC to the studios for an interview about the upcoming events in the festival:

The first two events are a Collage Concert for Marquette Area Public Schools students, Thursday September 13th at Kaufman Auditorium, and the first concert for the Marquette Symphony Orchestra's 2018-19 season (titled "From Bach to the Future"), which takes place Sept. 15th at 7:30pm, also at the Kaufman.

More information about BachFest Marquette can be found at Marquette 365, and on the BachFest Marquette Facebook page.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
