LANSING, MI-- A member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians has been named the new Security and Emergency Management Director for the Michigan Supreme Court.
Frank Mraz has been with the court since 2018, serving as lead security officer and bailiff. Before that Mraz was a command officer with the Michigan State Police and a member of the department for 31 years. He is the first Native American to serve in the post.
Mraz replaces John Ort, who served the court for 15 years and has retired.
