Houghton High School hockey volunteer arrested

HOUGHTON, MI--   A preliminary hearing is scheduled for a Hancock man accused of sexually assaulting a student.  

Bradley Aldrich, 30, was volunteering with the Houghton High School hockey team until his arrest last week.  He’s charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a student between 16 and 18 years old and one count of fourth-degree CSC, also involving a student between the ages of 16 and 18. 

The charges stem from an incident or incidents that happened sometime in March of this year.  They’re punishable by up to 17 years in prison.

A preliminary exam is set for October 18 in Houghton County District Court. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
