HOUGHTON, MI-- Michigan Technological University has adjusted next year’s tuition rates to comply with caps the state has set in its university appropriation guidelines.
Tuition will increase by an average of 4.2 percent for in-state undergraduates studying in the Houghton school’s most common academic programs. Officials say the adjustment will maintain a balanced budget.
Michigan Tech’s budget for the coming fiscal year also increases financial aid to undergraduate students by $3.2 million, a 10-percent increase over current year expenditures. The additional financial aid recognizes a projected increase in enrollment.
