Fight the Flu competition on between 4 UP campuses

MARQUETTE, MI--   Four Upper Peninsula universities are competing to see who can get the highest percentage of its total population vaccinated against the flu. 

Sponsored by the Center for Rural Health at Northern Michigan University, Fight the Flu involves Finlandia University, Lake Superior State University, Michigan Technological University and NMU.

Flu shot clinics will be held at the Marquette campus. The vaccine is also available at the Marquette County Health Department, outpatient clinics and pharmacies.

Students, Faculty and staff at each school are encouraged to participate. To learn when on-campus flu shot clinics are available and to compete, visit nmu.edu/fight-the-flu and self-report anonymously once the vaccine has been administered. Results will be posted and updated weekly on the webpage.

 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
