In-person classes set for Tuesday at Northern Michigan University

MARQUETTE, MI— NMU plans to resume in-person instruction on Tuesday, as KN-95 masks are dispersed to students over the next few days.

Mask distribution started Thursday afternoon in residence halls. Everyone is expected to wear a mask in university buildings where more than one person is present, and exemptions will not be allowed. People should double-mask until they receive their KN-95 masks.

Northern’s mandatory random testing begins Monday and Wednesday of next week.

The university will continue to offer replacement masks until mid-February, when the current protocol will be re-evaluated.
