MARSHFIELD, WI— Essentia Health and Marshfield Clinic Health System have ended discussions regarding a proposed integration.
Over the past two years, the organizations have been talking about how they could combine their strengths. On Friday, officials said they decided that a combination at this time is not the right path forward for their respective organizations, colleagues, and patients.
They said they’ll continue to seek opportunities for collaboration as two health systems dedicated to sustainable rural health care.
Marshfield serves Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula.
