Michigan Veteran Homes publishes wish list for Jacobetti veterans

MARQUETTE, MI— The D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans is hoping to make the holiday season a bit brighter for its residents.

The facility has a wish list of items the public can purchase and donate to the home for the holidays. The list includes high-quality razors and lotion, large-face watches, Marq-Tran bus tickets, and 2024 wall calendars. These items can be brought to the main entrance of the Home.

Monetary donations to the facility’s charitable support fund can also be made at https://bit.ly/SupportMVH, or checks can be written to MVHDJJ and mailed to 425 Fisher St., Marquette, MI 49855. Please indicate the fund designation “Charitable Support Fund” in the memo section of the check.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
