Candy Cane food drive being held in Gladstone on Sunday

GLADSTONE, MI— Gladstone Public Safety, the Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department, and the Escanaba Township Volunteer Fire Department are holding their annual Christmas Candy Cane and Canned Food Drive this weekend.

Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., firefighters and other volunteers will hand out candy canes and collect food for the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. Trucks will be decorated and Christmas music will play as volunteers walk the community.

Residents are asked to have their porch or exterior lights on so helpers can provide candy and some holiday cheer. Those who wish to donate but aren’t comfortable with outside, person-to-person contact can leave their donations on their porches or near the front of their residence.
