More road work on tap for next week

MARQUETTE, MI— Three Upper Peninsula road projects are slated to begin May 16.

Crews will start rebuilding US-41/M-28 from the Front Street roundabout to Furnace Street in Marquette. Work on that stretch of roadway should last until at least October.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is resurfacing 2.1 miles of M-183 and replacing a culvert near Garden in Delta County. It’s due to finish in September.

And resurfacing starts next Monday on 17.9 miles of US-41 from south of 56^th Avenue in Menominee to south of County Road 352 in Stephenson. The estimated end date is October 14.
