DELTA COUNTY, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin bridge maintenance work Monday on three US-2 bridges and one US-41 bridge near Rapid River.
During work on US-2 over the Whitefish River and US-41 over the Tacoosh River, one alternating lane of traffic will be open using temporary traffic signals. Work on US-2 over the Rapid River and US-2 over the Tacoosh River will be completed using lane shifts.
The work, involving bridge deck sealing, is expected to be completed on all four bridges by Thursday, August 24th.
The work is weather dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.
