Ontonagon COunty to receive state funds for road improvements

Ontonagon County, MI - Ontonagon County is getting a 2-million-dollar loan from the Michigan State Infrastructure Bank to repair roads. The Michigan Department of Transportation says the money will be used to repair a number of roadways damaged by spring flooding. Local officials say the money is needed to ensure roads are restored and residents have access to their homes and places of employment. Overall, the county experienced 8-point-1 million dollars in flood damages.

The S-I-B loan program complements traditional funding techniques and serves as a tool to meet urgent project financing demands.
