ISHPEMING, MI— Major work on the Ishpeming roundabout starts next week.
On Monday, September 18th, the Michigan Department of Transportation will close a portion of Lakeshore Drive. Traffic will be detoured onto Country Lane and River Parkway.
A temporary signal has been installed at the intersection of US-41 and Country Lane. It’s currently in flash mode, but will begin normal operation when the detour starts.
During the project, one lane will be open in each direction on the highway.
The estimated end date of the project is late October of 2024.
