Crowdfunding campaign set up for Ironwood playground

IRONWOOD, MI— Ironwood officials are looking for donations to create a downtown play space.

A crowdfunding campaign has been set up for the Hiawatha Park Playground. If the Patronicity campaign reaches $50,000 by September 13th, the project will win a matching grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Funding would come through the Public Spaces Community Places program.

Ironwood officials say the park would add much-needed vibrancy and activity to a key connector point in the community. A link to the campaign is here.
