(Undated) - Social media analysis company Rival IQ says Northern Michigan University ranks as the top Division 2 school in the nation. The 2022 Higher Education Social Media Engagement Report shows NMU dominating D-2 overall by ranking 5th on Facebook, 9th on both Instagram and Twitter and 12th on Tik Tok through “prolific posting and high-quality content.”
Rival IQ says NMU uses celebrating alumni success – like Nick Baumgartner’s gold medal-winning performance at the 2022 Winter Olympics - and showing off the campus and surrounding areas have proved successful in garnering the ranking.
Rival IQ surveyed all 305 D-2 colleges and universities on social media between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022.
