A conversation with the Music Director and Conductor of the MSO

The Marquette Symphony Orchestra invites you to enjoy a universe of music.

On Saturday, May 7th, 2022, the MSO will perform at Kaufman Auditorium in Marquette, with a concert titled "A Universe of Music." It features the music of Gustav Holst and Max Bruch. The orchestra will perform Holst's The Planets, written between 1914 and 1917, and Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1, from 1866. The orchestra will also welcome the MSO Youth Concerto Competition Winner Christine Harada Li.

We spoke with Octavio Más-Arocas (who now holds the titles of Music Director and Conductor of the MSO) about the concert, including a multimedia approach to the "Universe of Music" on display:

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
