Northern Arts & Culture: an extended "Records of Power" show this Labor Day weekend

Geoff Walker / Jon Teichman

A five-day vinyl record show at Ore Dock Brewing Company

Media lovers in the Upper Great Lakes can take an extended odyssey into what they love this Labor Day weekend in Marquette.

From Thursday, September 1st to Monday, September 5th, the upstairs community space of Ore Dock Brewing Company turns into the next vinyl record show. The NMU Vinyl Record Club collaborates with the brewery for another multimedia event. Jon Teichman (advisor of the NMU Vinyl Record Club) and Geoff Walker (who travels from downstate Michigan regularly for the event) will provide tables of almost any format of recorded music and media for patrons from Marquette and across the Upper Great Lakes area.

Jon Teichman was our guest at Public Radio 90 to speak about the extended event:

Geoff & Jon's Vinyl Record Show at Ore Dock Brewing Company takes place Thursday, September 1st through Monday, September 5th. Attendance is free, and patrons are encouraged to bring cash for purchases. Live music and food will also be available; more information can be found on the Facebook event page or at oredockbrewing.com.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
