If it wasn't clear already, the Marquette music scene is incredibly vast for local musicians. What distinguishes these local talents from others is the extent of their reach. We can see this exemplified with the heavily capable Raymond Little, a well-known artist in the area, who apart from his solo career, has been in the works with his band "The Thirties" for some time now.
The group has been making headway with quite a handful of their lyrics centering around the many political and social issues we see very often today. This way of spreading activism pulls together a strong message that leaves the listener in thought, as it breaks the normal barrier of censorship that isn't often touched upon in a lot of other music. Raymond has referred to this side of his music as a go-to for any of his "crazy or wacky thoughts" and that he can throw them all into this box called The Thirties.
