A chat between Jack and music journalism intern Andy Hansz

Being musically creative is hard work, but being at the center of the music scene helps to stay inspired and connected.

Growing up in the area, Jasno has easily familiarized himself with the unique local music scene of Marquette, while also creating his own flair to add to the mix. As a solo artist who can singlehandedly bring influences of pop and rock together in a sequence of ethereal instrumentals and extensive vocals, Jasno makes the most out of his skills in many ways. You can find Jack working diligently at Jim’s Music down on 3rd Street, while also spending his time after hours in the studio, working out the bits and pieces of his wide array of musical styles.

Music journalism intern Andy Hansz spoke with Jack about his project and the state of the music industry:

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
My name is Andy Hansz, I am a Senior at NMU majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Communication and Social Influence, from Cheboygan, MI. Local music has always been a huge interest of mine, and I couldn't be happier to be working with the artists who perfect it, especially here in beautiful Marquette.
