Marquette, MI - The body of a missing kayaker has been found in Marquette’s Lower Harbor.
State Police from the Negaunee Post responded to a missing person report at about 8:50pm Sunday. Their investigation led them to believe the person had gone kayaking at Lower Harbor. A search by Troopers, along with the US Coast Guard and Marquette Police Department, turned up an unoccupied kayak that had washed ashore. They soon located the body of a man in the water nearby.
Troopers say the unidentified man was in his early 30s. No foul play is suspected
